Handcrafted Iron Doors is committed to providing exceptional craftsmanship, dependable service, and a smooth delivery experience for every customer. Please review the following shipping guidelines carefully before placing your order.

Deliveries by Truck

Handcrafted Iron Doors coordinates deliveries using trusted, licensed, and insured freight carriers. Shipping costs are calculated based on the size of the shipment, total weight, destination, and delivery requirements. Shipping quotes are available upon request during the ordering process.

We work diligently to select carriers that offer the most efficient transit times and competitive rates available. All shipping and delivery-related charges, including any fees associated with rescheduling or delivery changes, are the responsibility of the customer.

Once your order has been picked up by the carrier, we will provide shipment tracking information along with photos of the packaged order whenever available. Every product is securely packaged using protective crating systems designed specifically for transporting custom iron doors and related products safely.

Delivery Timeframes

Standard delivery hours are Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Eastern local time.

Transit times for non-local deliveries generally range from approximately 3 to 9 business days depending on the destination and freight carrier schedules.

Handcrafted Iron Doors ships to residential and commercial locations throughout the contiguous United States.

Any requested changes to the shipping address or delivery schedule should be submitted in writing as soon as possible after placing the order. Requests made after shipment scheduling may result in additional carrier fees.

Carrier Payments & Additional Charges

Customers should never be required to make payments directly to the delivery driver or freight company during standard delivery service.

Handcrafted Iron Doors handles all approved shipping payments directly with the carrier. Any optional payments, gratuities, or additional services independently arranged by the customer with the carrier are solely at the customer’s discretion and responsibility. Such charges are non-refundable by Handcrafted Iron Doors.

Shipment Inspection & Damage Claims

All shipments are inspected and securely packaged before leaving our facility. While we take every precaution to protect your order during transit, damage may occasionally occur during freight handling.

Important Delivery Inspection Instructions

Customers MUST inspect the exterior packaging and pallet carefully before signing for delivery.

Under standard freight carrier policies, customers may not open the crate prior to accepting the shipment.

If the pallet or crate shows significant visible damage, customers should:

  1. Refuse the shipment
  2. Take clear photos of the damage
  3. Note the damage on the carrier’s delivery receipt
  4. Contact Handcrafted Iron Doors immediately

If concealed damage is discovered after opening the shipment, customers must notify Handcrafted Iron Doors as soon as possible so a freight claim can be initiated.

Please do not install or modify damaged products until the claim process is completed. Retain all original packaging materials, as the freight carrier may request an inspection.

Installation or use of the product constitutes acceptance of the shipment and may void eligibility for damage claims.

Important Notice

Failure to report shipping damage promptly may result in the denial of the freight claim. Handcrafted Iron Doors cannot guarantee claim resolution for damages reported after delivery acceptance without proper documentation.

Shipping Disclaimer

Handcrafted Iron Doors is not responsible for damage, delays, or losses caused by third-party freight carriers during or after delivery.

We are not liable for:

  • Damage not documented on the carrier’s delivery receipt
  • Inaccessible delivery locations
  • Additional carrier fees caused by failed delivery attempts
  • Customer-arranged transportation or handling
  • Injury, property damage, or issues arising during unloading, movement, or installation of products

Customers remain responsible for the full order amount and any additional freight charges associated with delivery complications due to restricted site access or inaccurate delivery information.

For safety and liability reasons, Handcrafted Iron Doors does not recommend customers retrieve shipments directly from freight terminals unless specifically approved in writing.
