Hurricane Bolts
On the inside of a house, these bolts are on the top and bottom of the door. For a double door, there will be two hurricane bolts at the top and the bottom of the door. We are currently working on a three-point locking mechanism to provide the strength needed to withstand the wind forces and pressures of a hurricane.
Custom Engineering
We use Florida Engineering that requires our doors to have hurricane ratings that are on par or better than the Miami-Dade hurricane impact code. This engineering is a customized process that propels our doors to the highest wind resistance standards. Our standard doors come with hurricane impact rated glass as well as the below shown hurricane bolts.
